Slovak inflation expected to remain near 4 percent this year

Economic analysts forecast that Slovak inflation will continue to hover around 4 percent throughout the current year. The analysts warn that secondary effects from higher energy prices, particularly oil and natural gas, could begin impacting consumer prices later in the year toward its end. This projection suggests Slovakia will continue to face elevated inflation levels compared to the European Central Bank's target of 2 percent, with energy costs remaining a key driver of price pressures in the Slovak economy.
