The Slovak government has been given a five-day deadline to develop a solution for rising fuel prices, according to a government official. The statement came amid criticism from opposition parties calling for action on fuel costs. Government representative Hrabko defended the administration's approach, noting that opposition parties consistently demand immediate action on fuel price increases. He pointed out that similar criticism was leveled by Róbert Fico, leader of the opposition Smer-SD party, when his party was previously out of power, suggesting this type of political pressure is routine when fuel costs rise.
