Air Rescue Team from Poprad Conducts Mountain and Forest Terrain Operations

Air rescue services based in Poprad carried out multiple emergency operations in mountainous and forested terrain. The majority of incidents involved injuries to the lower extremities. The operations highlight the ongoing role of helicopter emergency medical services in Slovakia's challenging geographic regions, where traditional ground-based ambulances cannot easily reach patients. Poprad serves as a key base for air rescue operations in the High Tatras mountain region and surrounding areas of northern Slovakia.
