Mountain rescue group acquires second hut near Ďumbier peak months after formation

A mountain rescue organization that was established in April quickly gained approval for a mountain hut near Ďumbier, Slovakia's second-highest peak, just two months later in June. The group now operates two facilities, having also taken management of the Téry Hut since November. Ďumbier, located in the Low Tatras mountain range, stands at 2,043 meters and is a popular destination for hikers and mountaineers. The rapid acquisition of mountain huts by the newly-formed rescue service suggests an expansion of mountain safety infrastructure in Slovakia's alpine regions.
