Australia to Increase Defense Spending to 3.0 Percent of GDP by 2033

Australia will raise its defense spending to 3.0 percent of gross domestic product by 2033, Defense Minister Richard Marles announced. In his address, Marles stated that international norms limiting the use of force and military pressure are gradually weakening.
