Highway Authority Issues Safety Guidelines for Tunnel Accidents

Slovakia's National Highway Company (NDS) has released guidance advising drivers on how to handle vehicle accidents inside tunnels. The authority recommends that motorists follow tunnel signage and safety markings when incidents occur in these enclosed road sections. The guidelines come as part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety in Slovakia's tunnel network, which includes several major routes through mountainous terrain connecting the country's regions and providing important transit corridors to neighboring countries.
