Iranian filmmaker Kaveh Daneshmand, speaking from Prague, has criticized Western perceptions of Iran as overly simplistic while expressing opposition to both his home country's regime and potential military action against it. The filmmaker, who opposes the government in Tehran, argues that Israeli and American bombing campaigns would not bring freedom to Iran. Daneshmand contends that Western audiences believe in simple narratives about Iran, while the reality of the country's situation is far more complex than commonly portrayed in international media.
