Feyenoord Parts Ways with Coach Robin van Persie After Second-Place Season

Dutch football club Feyenoord has ended its cooperation with head coach Robin van Persie following the conclusion of the current season. The 42-year-old former Netherlands international guided the Rotterdam-based club to second place in the Eredivisie, finishing 19 points behind champions PSV Eindhoven. Van Persie, who transitioned from his illustrious playing career to coaching, was unable to deliver the title that Feyenoord supporters expected despite securing a respectable league position.
