Islamic militants kidnap over 300 people in northeastern Nigeria

Islamic militants abducted more than 300 people in northeastern Nigeria in a mass kidnapping operation. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, which occurred in a region that has been plagued by insurgent activity for years.
