Slovakia Launches Digital School Enrollment System to Reduce Bureaucracy

Share:

The Slovak Ministry of Education has launched a unified electronic system called ePrihlášky (eApplications) that significantly simplifies the school admission process for both parents and schools. The digital platform eliminates unnecessary paperwork, reduces administrative burden, and provides greater transparency in the enrollment process for children entering schools across the country. The new system represents a major shift from traditional paper-based applications to a streamlined digital process. Parents can now submit a single electronic application rather than managing multiple paper forms and documents when applying for school admission for their children. The initiative is part of Slovakia's broader digitalization efforts in public administration, aimed at making government services more efficient and user-friendly. The Ministry of Education, which oversees the country's educational system including primary and secondary schools, developed the platform to modernize what has historically been a bureaucratic and time-consuming process for families.
