Modified Student Absence System Shows Little Change in Missed School Hours

Slovakia's adjusted system for excusing student absences has not significantly changed the number of missed school hours since its implementation. The modified system allows schools to voluntarily adopt stricter absence policies if they choose. The changes were designed to give educational institutions more flexibility in managing student attendance, but early results suggest that overall absence patterns have remained relatively stable across the school system.
