
Afghanistan reports 13 civilian deaths from Pakistani airstrikes

Afghanistan's Taliban government reported that 13 civilians were killed in overnight Pakistani military airstrikes on three Afghan provinces. The attacks targeted the provinces of Kunar, Khost, and Paktika, with dozens of civilians wounded according to Taliban officials. Local residents in Paktika province reported that three children died when their house was struck during the operation. Pakistan has repeatedly stated that its cross-border military operations in Afghanistan are aimed at targeting militants operating in the region.
