The Prešov Self-Governing Region has launched a public voting process to decide how to allocate 390,000 euros among 57 community projects. Citizens will directly determine which local initiatives receive funding through this participatory budgeting mechanism. The Prešov Region, located in eastern Slovakia, is using this democratic approach to involve residents in decisions about how regional funds are distributed to community-based projects across the area.
