Martin Venhart, head of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV), has issued a warning about the growing influence of conspiracy theories in Slovakia, citing beliefs that the Titanic never sank, moon landings were fake, the Earth is flat, and that vaccination causes blood disorders. Speaking in a video podcast, Venhart questioned how society reached this point and called for a return to scientific rationality and verifiable facts. He emphasized the need for courage rather than complacency, stating that future generations should not have worse conditions than current ones. The Slovak Academy of Sciences, the country's leading scientific institution, is positioning itself to offer a vision for Slovakia's development based on scientific evidence and rational thinking.
