Czech Republic's Current Account Surplus Drops Sharply in April
Share:
The Czech Republic recorded its smallest current account surplus since November 2025 in April, marking a sharp year-on-year decline. The current account, which measures a country's trade balance and financial flows with the rest of the world, saw its surplus contract significantly compared to the same period last year. This development reflects changes in the Czech economy's external financial position, which includes trade in goods and services, investment income, and transfers with other countries.
