Humenné Library Completes Green Roof Project, Plans Expansion to Schools

The city of Humenné in eastern Slovakia has completed installation of a green roof on its modern library building, which maintains a construction site appearance from the outside while housing contemporary facilities within. The municipality announced plans to build additional green roofs on schools and kindergartens throughout the city. Green roofs provide environmental benefits including improved insulation, stormwater management, and urban air quality while reducing energy costs for buildings.
