A peace summit aimed at ending the six-week conflict in the Middle East began in Islamabad, Pakistan, bringing together high-level American and Iranian delegations. Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif welcomed the American team, which includes J.D. Vance, advisor Jared Kushner, and envoy Steve Witkoff. The Iranian delegation is led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.
