Over One Million Lebanese Flee Homes as Israel-Hezbollah Fighting Escalates

More than one million people in Lebanon have been forced to flee their homes as violence between Israel and Hezbollah has intensified in recent days. Lebanese authorities report hundreds of deaths and thousands of wounded civilians as the conflict escalates. The displacement represents a massive humanitarian crisis affecting nearly a quarter of Lebanon's population of approximately 5 million people. Hezbollah, the Iran-backed militant group and political party that controls much of southern Lebanon, has been engaged in cross-border fighting with Israeli forces, leading to widespread bombardment of Lebanese territory and the mass exodus of civilians from affected areas.
