A Slovak nutrition expert has issued warnings about powder-based meal replacement products being promoted by sellers as miracle weight loss solutions. The concerns arose after a 47-year-old man inquired about his 74-year-old colleague's experience with nutritional advisors who created a custom diet plan consisting entirely of powdered food products, claiming his friend lost 17 kilograms in a single month using similar methods. Nutrition specialist Markéta Gajdošová cautioned against such extreme weight loss claims and the safety of replacing entire diets with powder-based products, particularly for elderly individuals. The expert's warning highlights growing concerns about unregulated nutritional advice and products being marketed with unrealistic promises in Slovakia's health and wellness sector.
