The mayor of Žilina, Peter Fiabáne, announced plans to renovate the city's winter stadium in the coming period. The mayor told the Slovak news agency TASR that the city lacks both suitable land and sufficient financial resources to build a completely new stadium. Žilina, located in northwestern Slovakia, is the country's fourth-largest city and serves as an important regional center for the Žilina Region.
