Driver with over two promille blood alcohol crashes into police patrol at intersection

A heavily intoxicated driver failed to yield right of way to a police patrol at an intersection in eastern Slovakia, resulting in a collision. The driver registered more than two promille of alcohol in his blood, well above the legal limit. He was subsequently arrested and placed in a police detention cell. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about drunk driving in Slovakia, where the legal blood alcohol limit for drivers is significantly lower than two promille.
