Progressive Slovakia to Submit Criminal Code Amendments Based on Prosecutor General's Proposals

Progressive Slovakia will take over proposals from Prosecutor General Maroš Žilinka for changes to Slovakia's criminal codes and submit them to parliament as a legislative amendment. Žilinka had addressed his proposals to Peter Rašim, the speaker of the National Council, Slovakia's parliament, seeking changes to criminal legislation related to protecting society from tax fraud. The prosecutor general submitted his initiative in early March, highlighting concerns about the current legal framework's effectiveness in combating tax-related crimes.
