
Slovakia's First Post-Communist Mayor of Levoča, Alžbeta Petrociová, Dies at 86

Alžbeta Petrociová, who became the first mayor of Levoča following Slovakia's transition from communist rule in 1989, has died at the age of 86. Petrociová also worked as a pharmacist during her career. Levoča is a historic town in eastern Slovakia known for its medieval architecture and UNESCO World Heritage status.
