Canadian midfielder Ismaël Koné was carried off the field on a stretcher and taken to hospital during a FIFA Club World Cup group stage match in Vancouver, with surgery expected. The 24-year-old, who plays for Italian club Sassuolo, suffered the injury in the 51st minute of a Group B match following a challenge by Qatari midfielder Assim Madibo.
