Bratislava Region Restores Three Rare Glass Mosaics in School Buildings
The Bratislava Self-Governing Region (BSK), the regional administrative authority responsible for public services and institutions in the greater Bratislava area, has completed the restoration of three large-format glass mosaics located inside two school buildings under its administration. The conservation project was funded from the BSK's own budget and marks another step in the region's ongoing efforts to preserve culturally significant artworks within its public buildings. Glass mosaics of this scale are considered rare examples of applied art, often dating from the mid-20th century, and their upkeep requires specialized restoration expertise. The completed work ensures that these decorative and historically valuable pieces are preserved for future generations of students and visitors.
