Norway to Reopen Three Closed Natural Gas Fields

Norway will reopen three previously closed natural gas fields, with production expected to begin in two years. The Albuskjell, West Ekofisk, and Tommeliten Gamma fields are located less than ten kilometers west of the giant Ekofisk field in the North Sea. The decision comes as European countries seek to diversify energy supplies and Norway has become a crucial energy supplier to the continent following the disruption of Russian gas flows.
