Czech Parliament Again Addresses Babiš Conflict of Interest as EU Suspends Subsidies

Babiš, who served as Czech Prime Minister from 2017 to 2021, has faced ongoing scrutiny over his dual role as a politician and owner of Agrofert, one of the Czech Republic's largest agricultural and chemical conglomerates. The conflict of interest allegations center on whether Babiš's companies improperly benefited from EU agricultural subsidies while he held political office, violating EU rules that prohibit officials from receiving funds that could create conflicts of interest.
