Firm with ties to Pellegrini ally builds empire of historic castles purchased from Slovak state

A company called Silver Farm has purchased two castles from the Slovak state and assembled a collection of 12 historic monuments, investigation reveals. The firm's background leads to businessman Adrian Polóny, a childhood friend of Deputy Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini who was previously backed by the ruling Smer party for a regional governor position. Polóny also has connections to former Prime Minister Robert Fico and controversial former police chief Norbert Bödör. The Silver Farm company operates from what appears to be a dilapidated building, raising questions about how it acquired the resources to purchase multiple historic properties from state ownership. The discovery highlights potential concerns about transparency in the sale of state-owned cultural heritage sites to private entities with political connections.
