US House Approves Funding Bill to End Government Shutdown

The U.S. House of Representatives approved legislation to fund the Department of Homeland Security and end the partial government shutdown. The bill now requires President Trump's signature to become law. The Homeland Security Secretary had warned lawmakers that without approval by Thursday, emergency funding would be exhausted and employees would not receive their paychecks.
